I had a long day of working then headed to Providence with the guys for a few beers. I almost completely forgot about my 365, but at 11:20pm I pulled out my camera and started shooting random buildings downtown. I liked this shot because of the way the lights from the building made the clouds look almost yellow.

Day 120 of 365 – Yosemite Pine Cone
I was not sure what to take a picture of today so I decided doing some macro work would be a good way to get my creativity flowing. This is a close up of a pine cone I accidentally took from Yosemite National Park in CA. The pine cones from the east coast and even Yellowstone can not compare in size to this huge cone.
Day 119 of 365 – End of Summer
Day 118 of 365 – Pooped
This was the final day of camping. We had just woken up, packed up the tent and where on the way to the car when I asked everyone to take one more photo with me. I set the timer, ran in to frame, and this is what we got. We where obviously tired and hung over in this shot, but it was well worth the great times with good friends.
Day 117 of 365 – Blue Moon
I was lucky enough to be camping during the blue moon this weekend, unfortunately we didn’t really have a clear view of the moon from our campsite. Even though we did not have a good view of the moon itself, the blue light that was lighting up the campsite was amazing. The amber color from the fire and the super blue sky made for a very colorful shot.
I used the tent as some sort of light diffuser for the fire so I could shoot at a longer shutter speed without blowing out the fire light.
Day 116 of 365 – Camping
On Friday, Andrew, Nate, Dennis, and myself, drove out to Mashamoquet Brook State Park in Connecticut for a weekend of camping. I really needed a weekend away from technology so I did my best to make my camera the only tech I used. I did turn on my phone for music and a flashlight at one point but I stayed in Airplane mode and did not use the interwebs. Spending time in the woods in the company of great friends, some booze, some food, and the blue moon was exactly what I needed to reboot myself.
Here is a picture from day one, nothing amazing technically, but the photos over the next few days document a great weekend with good people.
Day 115 of 365 – 11:11
I went camping for the weekend so there was a delay on me posting up my 365 photos. They have all been taken and will be posted over the next few days.
On Thursday night DJ 11:11 aka Jason Pond and myself DJ’ed at Local 121. It was a super fun night so I figured a shot from the night would make a good 365. This is a photo of DJ 11:11 taken at 11:11pm.
Day 114 of 365 – Old Technology
Day 113 of 365 – Early Moon
On the way back from watching a movie with my buddy Baker we noticed how awesome the clouds in the sky looked. We pulled over but the view just wasn’t as good as it was from the highway. We then hopped back on the highway and I attempted to take the shot from the car. We then saw the moon pop up right about the awesome cloud formation. It’s quite hard to get a nice open sky / landscape shot in the city, so the highway was the next best thing.
Day 112 of 365 – Working
Day 111 – Seasonal Allergies
Day 110 of 365 – Saturday’s
Saturday’s almost always include DGAF. This is by far one of my favorite events to shoot. There are so many fun, loving people that come here every week that make my job super enjoyable. This week was Glover’s Paradise, it was a gathering of glover’s to showcase their skills and to participate in a competition. At one point I looked over and saw Brian getting a light show from at least 4 glover’s at the same time and had to make this my 365.
Day 109 of 365 – Friday’s
Day 108 of 365 – Thursday’s
Thursday’s usually consist of working harder than any other day. Maybe because I am gearing up for a short Friday and a stress free weekend by getting as much done as possible, I’m not exactly sure why, but anyway.
I have been meaning to take a cool photo of my computer mouse since I use my mouse quite a bit, probably something scary like 30% of each day. I figure I might as well pay a tribute to this simple piece of gear. As I framed up some shots and figured out some lighting, I realized I could make this a bit cooler with some long exposure tricks. I lit the scene with one off camera flash to the left of the camera. There where no other lights on in the room as I needed complete darkness to capture the light trails created by the laser on the mouse pad. I decided a good exposure length would be 108 seconds, since this is day 108 of the project. I think I want to turn this in to some type of series with super long shots, as in 3-4 hours at a time.
Day 107 of 365 – Wednesday Night
Wednesday’s are my mothers day off so she babysits my awesome nephew, William. I was planning on taking a photo of him but ended up spending the day working in Providence, RI. Wednesday nights usually involve grabbing one or two beers with close friends to discuss life, how our week is going, and what we are doing the upcoming weekend. Yes, beer was a previous 365, but here is another one from a different location and a different beer!
Day 106 of 365 – Tuesday’s are random
There is nothing set in stone for Tuesday’s. This Tuesday I photographed NextHype Providence’s Filth Fest at Fete. It was awesome to shoot in a new venue, a beautiful one at that. This Praying Mantis was hanging out outside the venue and I had to try my best to take a photo of it. Low light, but I did my best with my flash.

Day 105 of 365 – Monday’s
For the remainder of this week my 365 photos will be of what typically happens to me on those days. Monday’s is Karaoke at The Hot Club. Even though I do not sing, I enjoy the people watching and hanging out with some of the best cats in Providence. This crazy fella you see here is Jimmy Ray, although I can not remember what it was he was singing.
