This is my first attempt at capturing star trails. This is a 22 minute exposure of the sky. I believed this effect is caused by the earth rotating but the stars not moving. This can only be done with very minimal light pollution so my buddy Dennis and myself drove out to the Arcadia Management area in Exeter, RI since it is one of the darkest places in the area.
This was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be, considering I drove to the middle of no where and realized I left my remote trigger at home so I had to duck tape my shutter switch down AND I lost my batter charger for my camera batteries so I only had a few shots at doing this before I ran out of battery juice. Next time I will be well prepared and find an even darker place with a more interesting foreground.
