So one of the funniest things on the internet happened today, the Most Beautiful Teen Contest. This was probably one of the best Troll fests in internet history, but how was I to photograph something happening on the internet?

I decided to take a photo of my recation to the epicness that was this facebook event thread.

I had no idea James Coletta was such a big fan of my macro photography work, so I figured I would take another macro shot involving the snow from the storm for him. Here ya go James, hope you like it.

I set up my camera in the window of my apartment and took a shot every hour or so. I stacked the images on top of each other, then sliced them in to strips to show the progression of the storm. This isn’t exactly what I had in mind, since I didn’t take any other photos yesterday, I am going to roll with this.

I completely forgot to bring over a cork screw to the new place, so I made due with what I had.

Sour Patch Kids never looked like “Kids” to me, but they where always my second favorite candy. My favorite is the yellow / lemon. What is yours?

After I smashed my iPhone for the 4th or 5th time, and the battery stopped working properly, it was time to look for a new phone. I have been wanting this phone since I got my Nexus 7 and finally got a great deal on one through Craigslist. This phone is crazy fast and does everything my iPhone could do and better. The switch to Android was long overdue!

Dan Riti gave us our first house warming present – salt and pepper shakers that look like rolls of film! Photo taken at ISO400 for good measure 🙂

Thanks to some help from Dan Riti, we got this sofa back to working condition. Well worth the troubles.

Getting this sofa in to the new apartment was a serious mission. We spent about 3 hours in that hallway trying to get the thing in to the apartment but failed pretty badly. Sam came by to give us a hand with some straps and managed to help us get the beast in to the apartment in 20 minutes. Poor planning on my part x50.

We chewed up some walls and broke a section of the couch pretty badly, but with a few minor repairs, the walls and sofa should be as good as new.

I was non-stop all day Friday, but it was worth it. Right before midnight I realized I had not taken a 365 photo, so I figured I would take a shot of me in the new place.

I shot some photos for The Colosseum in Providence, RI this past Thursday night, which involved a mechanical bull. This was a really good time, even if I was working and 10 years older than most of the people I was taking photos of!

Baker and myself have been painting and doing some minor cleaning and prepping of the apartment before we move in. Luckily the apartment has a new fridge, but the oven is quite old. I was told it’s a really nice oven, which has been verified with some Google’n. It needs some cleaning to make it look really nice, so we decided to start tackling it on Tuesday evening.

I spent Sunday running errands and painting the new apartment with Baker. My first two apartments would not allow me to paint the walls, so this is a nice change of pace. The last time I painted my bedroom it was “Asparagus Green”, this time I went with “Guacamole Green”. I kinda have a thing for fruit and vegetable colors.
